This is an old revision of the document!

Druid of the Wild Spirits

A Druid of the Wild Spirits is a Druid that has a bond to the wilder nature, or is slowly losing their humanity (or elfness or whatever). Pyrus is a Druid of the Wild Spirits.

Moves

Feral Instinct

When you Shapeshift and let animal instinct take over, take 5 instinct hold. your entire being becomes focused on your foe and your mind is consumed by the spirit whose body you now inhabit. You cannot communicate except how the animal could and your thoughts are those of a feral beast. You recognize your allies, but only trust them as much as a wild animal would.

After a full night's rest in safety, you revert.

You can spend 1 instinct hold to

  • do a Feral Attack, dealing your damage without rolling Hack 'n Slash
  • respond with Lightning Instincts, rerolling one of your or anyone else's damage dice

Shapeshifter

This is a modification to the original Shapeshifter move.

You may take on the physical form of any species whose essence you have studied or who lives in your land: you and your possessions meld into a perfect copy of the species’ form. You have any innate abilities and weaknesses of the form: claws, wings, gills, breathing water instead of air. You still use your normal stats but some moves may be harder to trigger—a housecat will find it hard to do battle with an ogre. The GM will also tell you one or more moves associated with your new form. Spend 1 hold to make that move. Once you’re out of hold, you return to your natural form. At any time, you may spend all your hold and revert to your natural form.

When you call upon the spirits to change your shape, roll+WIS.

  • On a 10+: hold 3.
  • On a 7-9: hold 2.
  • On a 6-: a wild spirit changes your shape. Hold 1 or trigger Feral Instinct, in addition to whatever the GM says.
